Itineraries
Day 1
Welcome to Accra!
Once you have arrived at Kotoka International airport you will be met by one of our partnering drivers waiting to escort you to the hotel. Once unpacked and settle in we’ll leave you to get accustom to Accra. Depending on when you arrive, you will have a few hours to nap, swim, meet fellow travelers or even explore the city!
We will call all on the tour downstairs at 8pm (no Ghana timing) for our welcome dinner.
If you miss this dinner, due to late flights, we’ll save you some snacks
Day 2
Being a tourist
Day 2 is where the real fun starts! You’ll explore Accra with our local tour guide in air conditioned vans. Here you will see the most popular tourist attractions such as the Independence Square, the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum which is the final resting place of the first president of Ghana, the W.E.B. DuBois Center, the Centre for National Culture, Black Star Square, Gallery 1957 and more! before ending the day watching the sunset on Lagbadi beach and seeing the Ghanaian nightlife.
It will be an early rise, but definitely worth it
Day 3
Being a Local
On this day we’ll show all the unique attractions that make this country one of a kind! You’ll visit cultural sites such as the National Museum of Ghana, St James Town, “Mini Brazil” and Makola Market to get a historical context to Ghanaian culture before ending the afternoon with a sweet treat! Did you know; Ghana is the largest importer of Cacao? As one of the largest producers of cocoa in the world, it’s a wonder there aren’t more chocolate companies in Ghana. All that is changing, with new brands springing up and we will invite you to experience a unique chocolate tasting session. We can either leave you in the city or drop you back at the hotel where we will regroup in the evening for an outdoor movie under the stars at Hannawi’s Beach Cinema Bar Grill and watch a movie with the locals on the beach
Day 4
Soaking up the views
Today we will start off by taking you to Shai Hills, in Dodowa. Where you will have the exhilarating rock climbing experience and nature trail. You will learn about the cultural significance of this place alongside spotting some baboons, antelopes and hundreds of bird and plant species. Once done, we will head to a neighbouring city called Akosombo. Akosombo is home to one of the biggest Dams in Africa! The views from the dam will have you amazed by the waterfalls. Adaomi bridge is a breath-taking walkway bridge in this smaller town but still a nice view. We will spend a day also viewing the city centre and heading to Lake Volta; the largest man made lake in the world! Here you will enjoy a relaxing afternoon boat ride before heading back to Accra.
Day 5
Rest and Rave
Today we will drive to the Aburi botanical gardens, one of the most fascinating places in Ghana which opened in March, 1890. Here we will spend the morning so feel free to bring a picnic basket! After the relaxing breeze at Aburi, we will head to the Asiafo Amanfro region where we will stop off at the Umbrella Rock and Boti Waterfalls where we can swim and relax for the day.
In the evening we will hit the town! Accra’s nightlife is not to be missed with people partying everyday of the week, we will guarantee that we give you the most memorable countdown you’ve ever had!
Day 6

After which we will head to our next destination Elmina. Elmina is a fishing port area located further southwest of the country in the Cape Coast region. It’s known for its beaches and for its unforgettable role in the former transatlantic slave trade.
We will then continue new year off strong by remembering those who came before us before heading to Elmina Castle. You’ve probably seen pictures of the of this huge castle, but within the walls of the castle lies a very gruesome history which you will learn all about with our guided tour.
