Morocco, a country with some of the world’s best architecture, it’s history and culture is unlike any other. Morocco is situated in the Northern coast of Africa. Its neighbouring countries are Algeria and Western Sahara, with Spain across the Atlantic ocean. The capital city is Rabat with Casablanca being the biggest city also known as the economic capital and Marrakesh being deemed the cultural capital. So are you ready to SEEMorocco?

Itineraries

Day 1

Mi Casa es Su Casa!

Welcome to Casablanca! also know as Casa, this is Morocco’s largest city will be your bustling
welcome to the country. Your adventure begins today with an airport pickup and welcome lunch.

We will then arrange for you to get a feel of the city some of these places will include; The Hassan
II Mosque. A pleasant way to spend the day exploring Casablanca is to wander the old medina
and the city walls, then jump in a taxi to visit the Quartiers des Habous, the new medina. We will
then finish the day with a walk along the Corniche or take it easy with a glass of sweet mint tea
in one of the many great cafes.

In the evening we will show you what this bustling city has to offer with a view to remember at
sky28 bar which overlooks the whole of Casablanca. Here everyone will get a chance to talk and
know each other to the relaxing jazz live music.
If you arrive later, you can either meet the group at Sky28 bar or at the hotel, we will be able to
arrange some light snacks for you when you arrive.

Day 2

Exploring Rabat

Who’s ready for a day trip!? Today will be an early morning as we will be leaving Casablanca and
heading to Rabat, the country’s capital which is only about an 1-hour train journey away. Rabat
is a historical town with a long and colourful history. The city has been conquered by Roman
settlements, pirates, and more recently the Moroccan parliament and has an interesting blend
of all culturals in it’s architect. The city is home to many Arab monuments,some dating from the
10th to 15th century Almohad and Merenid dynasties, and others that are far older. The earliest
known settlement is Sala, occupying an area now known as the Chellah. This will be our first stop
alongside walking up to Kasbah des Oudaias and enjoy views over the Atlantic Ocean. Afterward
we will get lunch in Rabat before exploring more historicalsites. In the evening, we will head back
to Casablanca to rest for the journey ahead.

Day 3

City Sightseeing

Casablanca – Volubilis – Fes.
After breakfast we will journey to Volubilis, an archaeological site that was once a provincial
Roman capital. Volubilis is a partly excavated Berber-Roman city in Morocco situated near the
city of Meknes. These breathtaking ruins will make you feel like you’re at the edge of the world!
Your guide will detail the history of these marvelous ruins alongside touring you across the site.
Please remember to pack drinking water, hat, sunglasses, and sun cream for this tour as it may
get hot and you will be exposed to the sun. And, of course, don’t forget to take your camera as
the town is filled with fantastic mosaics along the Decumanus Maximus, many of which remain
intact.

After the tour, we will take a 2-hour drive to Fes, the former capital, where you’llspend the next
night. Fes is a UNESCO world heritage site due to its deep cultural and spiritual roots in Moroccan
history. Upon arriving, we will have a quick walk around the capital before enjoying a traditional
Moroccan meal.

Day 4

Unlocking the world of Fes

Today willstart with a guided group walking tour of the old city, known locally as Fes el Bali. This
place will have you feeling like you’ve stepped back into the Middle Ages with a buslting Medina
alive with animated craftsmen, markets, tanneries and mosques. This Medina dates back to
789AD and regarded as most to be the cultural hub of Morocco.

You will have an opportunity to see Medersa Bou Inania: one of the city’s most beautiful
buildings, which has recently been restored and is now open to tourists. You will also visit
Medresse el Attarine and the splendid Funduk Nejjarine: a beautifully restored 18th century inn.
You’ll also see the famous tannery, known for the iconic view overlooking its dye pits, and a
ceramics factory where you can see potters working in the traditional way. We will then end the
day off by trying some Moroccan specialities like harira (chickpea soup) and chicken-stuffed
pastilla with couscous accompanied with some live performances.

Day 5

Smerfing the town blue

Today we will head to Chefchaouen, home to those beautiful blue houses I’m sure you’ve seen
on Instagram but there’s so much more that this city offers. We will have a guided tour and visit
the Ethnographic Museum, stroll through the streets and grab a bargain at Place Outa el
Hammam and end the day watching the sunset at Khandak Semmar.

Day 6

Rest Day

Today is a free day for you to explore Chefchaouen further, perhaps take a guided tour of the
other attractions in the city. This can all be arranged for you as long as you give us prior notice.
Alternatively, you might prefer to get out of town and enjoy a hike and picnic in the surrounding
hills. In the evening, how about tucking into a tagine at a local restaurant or visit a hammam a
traditional Moroccan spa? The night is yours.

Day 7

Tanning in Tangier

Today you will take a 2 hour journey to Tangier, a costal city in northwestern Morocco said to have some of the county’s best beaches. Though it is renowned as a summer hotspot, the city is a place of strategic importance to the Mediterranean as a gateway to Africa.

Our walking tour will explore this history with you and will give you the afternoon to soak up some more history, culture and sun. You could also enjoy a fresh seafood dinner by the port, watching the sunset over the Atlantic. Later tonight, board an overnight sleeper train bound for Marrakech.

Day 8

Venture into the city that has it all

Marrakech is one of Morocco’s most popular tourist hubs and after visiting the city, you’ll be sure to understand why. Packed with architectural magnificence, cultural medinas and unique opportunities this antient city has a lot to offer! You will visit Jardin Majorelle; one of the largest riads in the 19th century, Bahia Palace; a 19th centaury palace with breathtaking grounds. It’s home to beautiful architecture and ancient Moroccan artefacts, Koutoubia Mosque and its 12th century minaret, which was the famous prototype for the Giralda tower in Seville and much more!

Day 9

Rest Day

There are no activities planned for today and so you are free to leave at any time to either relax or cram more activities in. We have a choice of activities such as camel riding, neighbouring city tours, dune bugging and more to choose from. Please do let us know beforehand if any of these activities interest you.
